UCLA GAME

*Halftime UCLA 39 CAL 25. Let's go Bruins. Put it out of reach and get the starters a rest. Southern Cal awaits.

*Computer battery got low. Not much going on other than the UCLA game. Nothwestern and Minnesota are playing in a meaningless Big-10 tilt. I wonder if Tubby is happier outside the (figurative) bright lights. Barring a miracle win in this tourney, he'll miss the NCAA for the first time in probably 14 years. He knows he'll get that program back there in a couple of years. Something tells me he sleeps easier these days.

*Cal threatened to make this a game for a while. Right now they are getting abused by UCLA's senior backup Lorenzo Mata-Real. Love is on the bench with 2 fouls and Mata has eight points and three blocks.

*The Bruins are up 7-2 at the first break. Kevin Love got in a passing lane at the top of the key, made a steal, and went coast to coast for a dunk. Lost last week in all of the hoopla about our luck win was the fact that he hit a double clutch 3 with 15 seconds left to bring us to within one. College freshmen who are 6'9" and not named Kevin Durrant are not supposed to be able to do these things.
It is 5:51, and I am cracking my first beer.
