Oaks Story

Quick story from yesterday at the Oaks.  We were milling around after the race and I saw a guy who I thought to be the host from a home show on the Fine Living network.  For my straight friends who don't know, his show is the one where they compare how much house a certain amount of money will get you in three different housing markets.  I know what you are thinking, and that is kind of what makes the story funny.  Jenni and I discussed it for one second and she didn't think it was him.  It was the end of a long day, if you get my drift, so I went up to the guy and said, "You are the guy on Fine Living right, if so, give my wife (who was now in our box inside some plexiglass) the thumbs up".  He did.

What is funny was this.  Jenni just smiled, shook her head and was embarrassed.  End of story.  However, this guy's friends went into absolute hysterics that someone actually recognized him.  They were giving him grief for at least five minutes.  I went back inside and his boys were pointing and talking about us more so than we were about him.  They may have thought it funny that a man with a wife recognized someone from the Fine Living network.  It was pretty gay on my part, I'll admit.

Anyway, I'm guessing I am in store for some better celebrity sightings today.
